Jotaro comes back from disgrace with nothing but a prototype nobody believes in, racing a guy who's already won everything. The Ogre isn't faster on paper, it's just built different, and watching him rebuild his reputation one qualifying lap at a time is quieter than it should be. By the end you realize this wasn't about beating Hayato. It's about a driver who cheated once proving he doesn't need to ever again.

After his team, Aoi Zip Formula, sits out a year-long ban from Cyber Formula racing for cheating, Jotaro Kaga, known as Bleed Kaga, comes back for the 17th World Grand Prix. His old car cannot keep up with returning champion Hayato Kazami, whose skill has grown enormously, and his Nu-Asurada AKF-0. Then Kyoshiro Nagumo, a face from the past, suddenly appears and offers him the Ogre AN-21. The machine is a prototype for the Al-Zard series of bio-computer cars, built by the people behind the Asurada, and only a handful of drivers can handle it. Kaga has to master the Ogre, face his own inner demons, and beat his longtime rival Hayato in what may be his last and greatest season. A five-episode sci-fi sports drama OVA.
