A kid finds his dad's secret lab and walks out piloting a bullet train that transforms into a robot. The transformation sequences are so fluid and satisfying you'll rewatch them on purpose. This is mecha for people who just want to see cool robots do cool things without pretending it needs to be profound.

Hayato Hayasugi is a train-obsessed boy whose father runs a train museum. One day he wanders by accident into his dad's secret research lab and finds an E5 bullet train inside. An announcement warns that a mysterious enemy called the Bachigami is attacking New Saitama, and with a touch of his father's Shinca card the train becomes the giant robot Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa. Hayato and other children serve as conductors who pilot the Shinkalion, robots modeled on real Japanese shinkansen. They team up with the adults of the Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute to protect Japan and defeat a monster resembling a jet black bullet train in this action mecha series.
