Nobody expects a vtuber idol project song to actually hit like this. The production is so clean it makes you forget you're watching a music video for streamers, it's just pure pop energy wrapped around a hook that doesn't leave your head for days. This is what happens when a company stops treating their talent like content and treats them like actual idols.

Shiny Smily Story is the first official song of the hololive IDOL PROJECT, sung by a large group of vTuber talents from Hololive Production and presented here as a full-length music video from Cover Corp. An earlier version was teased at Comiket 96 and shared online in August 2019 during Hololive Summer '19. This newer cut was made to promote hololive's 1st Fes. concert, Nonstop Story, held in January 2020. It was later reused to advertise the 2nd Fes. concert, Beyond The Stage, and again for Bloom, the idol project's first live event, in February 2021.
