Cyan gets yanked into a music industry full of talking animal girls and just goes with it, which is the entire energy of this show. The comedy comes from four completely different personalities crammed into one band who somehow work better together than they have any right to. It's barely a story, honestly, just vibes and jokes and the kind of dumb charm that only lands when everyone involved commits to the bit.

Cyan is a cat girl in gothic lolita dress who gets scouted by Maple Arisugawa, head of a music agency, in MIDICITY, a metropolis devoted to music. Her bandmates are just as unlikely as she is: Chuchu, a model-student rabbit girl, Retoree, a dog girl hooked on the internet, and Moa, a girl who may or may not be an alien sheep. Together they form Plasmagica and set their sights on the top, taking on other odd bands along the way. These short, cheerful comedy episodes follow the everyday lives of the members of Plasmagica and the band ShinganCrimsonZ, mixing music with lighthearted slice of life gags.
