Mana Shikimiya once dreamed big, but she put those hopes away when she started middle school so she could live an ordinary life. After transferring to a new academy where every student must join a club, she finds the singing and dancing club, which has only two members, Mizuha Ichikishima and Sayu Tsukisaka. Mana joins, and her old dreams of stardom come back to life. The club has a problem, though: the student council plans to disband it because it lacks members and achievements. The three girls must recruit more people and build an idol group capable of qualifying for and winning the Prism Stage, the national competition that crowns the top idols. The result is a music and slice of life series, adapted from a multimedia project that also spans a mobile game, a novel and music singles.
