A dragon so tired of existing that he decides raising a kid is less exhausting than fighting one more hero. The comedy lives in watching an immortal demon fail spectacularly at the one thing stronger than him: making sure a human child doesn't die before he's useful. Ell is the mightiest dragon in the Demon Realm, and all he wants is to die so he can finally rest in the afterlife. Every hero who comes for him ends up dead instead, so he settles on a new plan: if no warrior can defeat him, he will raise one who can. After meeting a crafty human magician named Lafi, Ell takes on the job of bringing up her son, Dino. That leaves Ell facing parenthood, his toughest challenge yet, while the question remains whether Dino will live an ordinary, happy life or take up the Warrior's Holy Sword. The result is a comedic fantasy about a dragon with an unusual retirement plan.
