Cid Kagenou continues his elaborate scheme to become the most powerful shadow broker in the realm, and so far, everything unfolds exactly as he orchestrates. His cult of devoted followers, Shadow Garden, stands ready to execute his every whim. But their latest challenge forces them into the Lawless City, a lawless wasteland ruled by three monarchs under a crimson moon that never sets. The streets here breed danger and conspiracy in equal measure. What truly draws Cid's attention, however, is a legend made flesh: the Blood Queen, an ancient vampire who has slept in darkness for centuries. Her awakening approaches, and for the first time, Cid faces an opponent he cannot predict or manipulate. Suddenly his meticulous plans begin to fracture against forces beyond his control. The comedy lies in watching Cid treat genuine danger like another puzzle to solve through sheer conviction, while his companions scramble to keep up with his increasingly reckless gambits.
