A guy has spent two thousand years alone with a dog, and the dog is the one forcing him to touch grass. The magic system exists entirely to set up jokes, spells with ridiculous names, power levels that mean nothing, a familiar whose opinions matter more than any grimoire. Asley is too tired and too dumb to be the chosen one, but his dog believes in him anyway, and somehow that's funnier than any proper hero's journey could ever be.
Asley has spent the last two thousand years locked away in his tower, kept company only by Pochi, his absurdly overpowered dog familiar. When Pochi finally drags him back into civilization, Asley discovers the world has moved on without him, and he's picked up a reputation that needs serious damage control. Turns out immortal hermits with names like "Fool of Eternity" don't exactly inspire confidence. Now forced to navigate human society again, Asley stumbles through a landscape of magic competitions, romance, and genuinely weird supernatural situations. His plan is simple: rebuild his image, prove he's not a complete disaster, and maybe help Pochi win the Familiar Feud while he's at it. The problem is that Asley's brain operates on a frequency nobody else quite understands, and his solutions to problems tend to be hilariously disproportionate. Part fish-out-of-water comedy, part genuine fantasy adventure, this show finds humor in the collision between an impossibly ancient goofball and a world that's left him behind. Pochi deserves better, but somehow they're in this together anyway.
