Metalhawk and his team live as humans because they learned the hard way that Earth always needs a guardian. When the Destrons return, the show doesn't reset, it escalates into something stranger, forcing both sides to pull humans into the war itself. The real tension isn't whether the robots win. It's watching ordinary people discover they're already part of a conflict that was never going to stay quiet.

After the Destrons have been driven off Earth, a small team of Cybertron Pretenders stays behind as a precaution. They live among humans, using Pretender shells to take on human size and appearance, and their leader Metalhawk goes by Hawk. Long ago these Cybertrons chased the Destron Pretenders to Earth during the Stone Age, beat them and sealed them away. Now a mysterious alien energy being called Devil Z sets the Destrons free, and the Cybertrons must drop their disguises and fight again. Both sides race to grow their ranks by recruiting humans as Junior Headmasters and Godmasters in this mecha adventure.
