Takeshi's already lost everything once, his Earth life, his team, his choice, by the time season two starts. Now he has to keep fighting for a planet that feels like a stranger's war while the machines that move with his body remind him every battle that he can never go home again. The real cruelty isn't the aliens or the missions. It's that he's gotten strong enough to win, but not old enough to stop paying the price for it.
The second season of UFO Senshi Dai Apolon aired as a 21-episode TV series in 1976, continuing the action mecha story. In the original series, Takeshi is a 16-year-old at the BlueSky orphanage who learns he is the son of the king of the planet Apolon. His father's retainer Rabi brought him to Earth to save him from General Dazaan. Takeshi's special energy lets him control UFO saucers hidden beneath the ocean floor, and these saucers turn into robots that move in sync with him.
