Wake Up, Girls! Seishun no Kage picks up after the group has already fought through their worst: the theft, the predatory producer, the near-collapse of everything they built together. This movie isn't about becoming idols anymore, it's about staying idols when the initial fire starts to burn out, when the weight of seven different people's reasons for being here becomes harder to carry than the dream itself. The sequel asks a question the first arc couldn't: what do these girls want when nobody's forcing them to want anything anymore? It's less about the path to stardom and more about what you sacrifice to stay on it, grounded in the specific exhaustion of seven people who know exactly what they're fighting for now.

Seishun no Kage is a 2015 film that continues the story of the original Wake Up, Girls! TV anime. It brings back the idol group Wake Up, Girls, whose members Mayu, Airi, Minami, Yoshino, Nanami, Kaya and Miyu are managed by Matsuda of the agency Green Leaves. The movie was first revealed at the Wake Up, Girls! Festa.2014 Winter event. Blending music with slice of life storytelling, it picks up after the events of the earlier series.
