A cheerful cat and a cynical cat get paired for random jobs, and somehow their complete incompatibility becomes the whole point. Tapio's optimism isn't there to fix Kuehiko's pessimism, it just bounces off it, creating this comfortable rhythm where neither one changes the other, they just keep showing up.
