Souji is so timid he flinches at his own shadow, then someone hands him a pair of tongs and tells him to work the grill. The show knows the real comedy isn't in the job itself, it's in watching someone so afraid discover he's capable of something. By episode three you stop rooting for him to survive his shift, you're rooting for him to want to come back tomorrow.

Souji is kind-hearted but painfully timid, and he goes by the nickname Mop. He takes his very first job at Sengoku, a yakiniku restaurant in his neighborhood. There he stumbles through the work alongside a group of distinctive colleagues, and he gradually grows along with them. The comedy slice-of-life ONA runs 12 episodes and adapts Fukumen Usagi's four-panel gag manga.
