Judai Yuki is a cheerful, easygoing teenager who dreams of becoming the next King of Games. He enrolls at Duel Academy, a respected school on a remote island off Japan that trains a new generation of duelists, ten years after the events of the original Yu-Gi-Oh!. His careless attitude makes him late for his entrance exam, but along the way a familiar figure hands him the Winged Kuriboh card, which becomes his partner. Once enrolled, Judai is placed in Slifer Red, the lowest-ranked of the school's three dorms, alongside Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue. He keeps testing himself against students and teachers alike to prove his worth and earn everyone's respect, picking up friends and enemies as he goes. Blending action, comedy and fantasy, the series promises that life at Duel Academy is never dull.
