Exkaiser leads a team of space police on the trail of the Geisters, a gang of villainous space pirates. Once on Earth, the officers, who exist as pure energy, take up residence in vehicles across Japan to gain physical bodies. Exkaiser settles into a car owned by the family of a boy named Kouta Hoshikawa. Kouta soon learns the truth and becomes his friend. With Kouta's help, Exkaiser and his allies battle to stop the Geisters from stealing the planet's treasures, in a mecha action series full of giant robots and sci-fi adventure.
