A girl shows up at a guy's house uninvited, and he makes it clear every single day that he doesn't want her there. Haruto Kirishima lives quietly in the Hiroshima countryside until Yuzuki Eba, a girl from Tokyo, comes to attend high school there and moves into his family's home over his objections. After a run of romantic mix-ups, some involving his first love Nanami Kanzaki, he confesses to Yuzuki before she heads back to Tokyo, and the two try to keep a long-distance relationship going. When she suddenly cuts off all contact, Haruto moves to Tokyo to stay with his sister. He claims he wants to train as a cook, but what he really wants is to reach Yuzuki, who he believes is in trouble. His sister's neighbor, Asuka Mishima, first takes him for a burglar, then becomes his friend. As Yuzuki keeps avoiding him, his resolve begins to falter. The result is a slice-of-life romantic drama about a heart pulled in two directions.
