Aika is pure fanservice excess pretending to be a heist plot, and it commits so hard to the bit that you stop caring about the story falling apart. The camera is always one frame away from indecency, the comedy timing works despite the nonsense, and every character moves like they're performing rather than existing. This is what happens when someone decides to make the most fun version of a movie that has no business existing, and somehow pulls it off.

A catastrophic earthquake has sunk Tokyo, along with most of the planet, beneath the sea. Aika makes her living as a salvager, pulling what remains from the flooded ruins. She takes on a risky assignment to track down and recover the mysterious Lagu, only to find that other parties are chasing it too. The seven-episode OVA mixes action, adventure, comedy and sci-fi with a strong dose of ecchi fanservice.
