The closest thing to a Sentai show that refuses to act like a Sentai show. Three teachers in a high school that's actually a high school, fighting an organization nobody in the real world takes seriously, never combining into anything because that would be stupid. You get the colorful team dynamic, the monster-of-the-week structure, the earnest heroics, then the show cuts to mundane classroom politics and a talking watch that sounds exhausted.
Tokyo was destroyed in AD 199X, and a computer-run Megalocity now stands in its place. Evil beings called the Youma, convinced that Earth belongs to them, are invading it. Standing against them are the Sonic Soldier Borgman: Ryo, the team's leader, and Chuck and Anise, who teach at a public school. Calling out "Borg. Get On," the three transform into cyber suits in blue, green and pink, in the style of a sentai team. Each carries a personal cannon in the color of their armor, brought out only to finish off the monster they are fighting. Ryo rides a talking blue motorcycle that can upgrade itself. Some of the students know the heroes' secret identities, and at times they help the Borgman or cause trouble for them. Together the team defends the city and fights to stop Lord Mesh and the Youma in this action and science fiction series.
