A war against the Dark Ones has dragged on for decades and finally settled into a stalemate, so the giant robot Atlanger is set to be officially decommissioned. Then Earth comes under sudden attack, and the job of protecting everyone falls to Asuka Ken and a band of untested rookie pilots. This single-episode mecha OVA draws on Aoshima's Atranger plastic model line, which first appeared in 1975 and had never been animated before, though the robot kept a lasting following among older fans. The short debuted on DVD at the Comic Market 81 convention in 2011.
