Mikami corners a vampire sorcerer in Tokyo with the same energy she'd use to collect a bounty on a minor poltergeist, and the movie knows exactly how funny that is. The animation here actually matches the chaos of what's on screen instead of holding it back. It's exactly what the series does best, just louder and with higher stakes that the 50-minute runtime actually has time to earn.

Mikami works as a Ghost Sweeper, a professional exorcist and bounty hunter with plenty of attitude. When an evil vampire sorcerer comes back to Tokyo after being gone for a hundred years, she is hired to hunt him down, along with his threatening assistant, before the pair can seize control of the city. The result is a supernatural comedy and fantasy feature built around her pursuit of the vampire.
