Hell's bureaucracy moves at the speed of a demon with nowhere to be. Hozuki floats through each ridiculous complaint, a yokai filing a noise violation, a soul processing backlog, a god who won't stop causing problems, with the same flat affect he'd use to order tea. The comedy lives in that gap between cosmic chaos and absolute administrative indifference, where the punchline is always Hozuki's complete refusal to care as much as everyone else thinks he should.

Hozuki returns to his post as the indispensable right hand of King Enma, where the problems of Hell never stop coming. Calm, sadistic and perpetually unflappable, he is the most capable demon in the underworld, so sorting out its troubles falls to him, from a rampaging Momotaro and his companions to devising new and painful tortures. Away from work, Hozuki spends his free time on hobbies such as doting on cute animals and raising goldfish flowers. This second cour of the second season continues his darkly comedic efforts to keep order below, a supernatural fantasy comedy about a job that is truly hellish.
