Kikansha Yaemon is a fantasy movie made in 3D animation, adapted from a bestselling picture book written by Agawa Hiroyuki with illustrations by Okabe Fuyuhiko, which Iwanami Shoten first published in 1959. Toei presented the film in 3D at its 2009 anime festival. In 2010 it came out on DVD in a collection with three other CG titles from Toei, among them a Gegege no Kitarou piece and two Digimon works.
