A magical girl who shows up to fight evil in a swimsuit and immediately hates every second of it. The comedy works because Yuzuka's complete refusal to play along with magical girl logic is the only sane response to an absurd system. It's not trying to deconstruct the genre or make a point, it just finds the joke in a girl with actual agency telling a magical mascot to find someone else.

Yuzuka Hanami, a girl with few friends who can do just about anything, is not exactly thrilled when a shady creature named Miton, found digging through a trash dump, tells her she has what it takes to be a magical girl. Her new powers let her transform and control water, but her transformation leaves her in a swimsuit. Only girls with magical potential can see Miton, among them Chiya, Yuzuka's cynical and possessive best friend, the kind neighbour Daiya, and Mafuyu, a fellow magical girl with a familiar named Pochi who helps at her grandfather's coffee shop. The second season keeps Yuzuka adjusting to her strange role, struggling to find the upside of her abilities while slowly learning what being a magical girl really means. Short comedic episodes mix magical girl gags with everyday slice-of-life moments.
