Yukihisa Matsuda, principal conductor of the Rising Star Orchestra, travels to Paris to guest conduct Wagner's Tannhäuser Overture with the Recyl Symphony Orchestra. There he hears the players speaking highly of Shinichi Chiaki, the up-and-coming Japanese conductor now leading the Roux-Marlet Orchestra, and Matsuda can hardly hide his disdain at sharing the city with a second "Black-Haired Noble." After the concert his mistress leaves him, and he grabs Chiaki for drinks, claiming he wants to talk about their careers. Instead the talk drifts to the person in Chiaki's life, much to Chiaki's annoyance. A single-episode comedy with music, romance and slice-of-life flavor.
