In 2035, advanced technology shapes daily life, world governments have unified, hackers wage network wars, and a single giant multinational company holds control over the future. Kang Maru, a fourteen-year-old with remarkable skill at a RESTOL simulation game, is picked by GEONOID, a company charged with guarding the planet against natural disasters. He becomes the pilot of RESTOL 03, one of five rescue machines sent to save people caught in calamities. Together with his teammates, Maru faces a range of challenges on duty, including a hacking attack on R-SAT, their rescue station in space.
