Lina's signature spell doesn't work, and that one fact shatters everything you thought you knew about how this world operates. The movie trades power scaling for chaos, where an entitled princess and her dragon army are somehow the least ridiculous problem in the room. By the time you realize the actual threat, you're laughing too hard to care that the rules changed.

Lina Inverse and her companion Naga the Serpent are taking a peaceful lunch break when the townsfolk rush for cover and dragons descend on the village. Behind the chaos is Marlene Culvert, a princess at war with her own father, the king, over something as trivial as her allowance. Lina sides with the ruler while Naga joins Marlene. Lina's trusted Dragon Slave spell fails her against Marlene's four knights and her dragons, and just when victory seems won, the real fight is only starting. The comedic fantasy adventure plays its petty family feud for laughs.
