Zelgadis finally gets his episode, and it costs him everything that matters. Evolution-R figures out what the franchise does best, letting characters want something impossible, then making them choose between getting it and staying who they are. The first half stumbles finding its rhythm, but once it locks in, the show remembers why people came back to Lina's world after fifteen years.

Lina Inverse and her companions search for the Hellmaster's jar, the vessel in which the Red Priest Rezo placed his soul after his death. Rezo sealed Pokota's country, Taforashia, after it was struck by a deadly disease, and the group hopes the jar holds the key to rescuing it. Not everyone involved shares the same goal. Zelgadis will do whatever it takes to get the jar so he can become human again. The assassin Zuuma is after Lina, driven by revenge and by an assignment to kill her. Meanwhile, what Xellos is really after in this fight remains a mystery to Lina and the others. The adventure mixes fantasy battles with plenty of comedy along the way.
