Jousting anime that actually commits to the sport instead of using it as window dressing. The animation sells every lance impact, every armor detail, every moment a knight pushes past her limit in the saddle. You get the exact thing the premise promises: a guy rebuilding his broken dream through someone else's victory, one tournament at a time. The ecchi is shameless enough that it knows what it is. Romance never lands, but the show doesn't pretend that's the point.

Takahiro Mizuno came to Winford Academy, a jousting school in the old town of Helen's Hill, to become a knight after being the top junior champion back home. An injury in a tournament final forced him out, so he switched to training as a begleiter, an assistant to the academy's maiden knights. His way with animals and his jousting background make many girls want him as their partner, but he turns them all down. When a strange accident leaves his friend Mio facing a jousting duel even though she is not a knight, he agrees to assist her for the moment, and their partnership continues as she enters the yearly tournament. The series mixes sports, romance and ecchi elements.
