Akiteru Ooboshi is a high schooler who considers fun, friendships and dating a waste of time and who values efficiency over everything. He produces a small game development circle made up of fellow tenants in his apartment building, and their latest release passes a million downloads. Hoping to secure the group's future, he approaches his uncle's major company, Honeyplace Works. His uncle agrees on one condition: Akiteru must pretend to be the boyfriend of his cousin, Mashiro. Complicating things is Iroha Kohinata, the younger sister of his best friend Ozuma. She hangs around his room, sprawls on his bed and teases him constantly, and she seems to save her most annoying side for him alone. A romantic comedy with slice-of-life touches, it leaves Akiteru caught between two girls as work, school and his personal life start to overlap.
