Mushiki Kuga's ordinary life shatters when a dying witch literally transfers her powers into him. Now he's stuck with Saika's overwhelming magic, her flawless face, and a world-ending crisis that surfaces every 300 hours. The only problem: he has no idea how to use any of it. Saika was the strongest mage alive and the one person able to stop the mysterious forces that try to wipe out the world on that schedule. When she is fatally hurt, she passes both her body and her abilities to Mushiki, an ordinary high schooler who comes across her. To have any hope of protecting the world, he enrolls at an academy for mages under Saika's identity, all while making sure no one discovers who he really is. The clock is ticking, his cover hangs by a thread, and Mushiki has to figure out whether a normal person can ever truly inherit the strength of a legend. The story blends action, drama, fantasy and romance.
